Pregnant or Breastfeeding: BE a CHEMICAL FREE mum!



The average chord blood (taken from newborn babies) has 287 harmful chemicals in it! The levels of toxicity in breast milk are similar!

When you are pregnant or breastfeeding your growing baby relies upon you for their nutrition and to provide them with a loving, safe, high frequency womb/home environment within which to adjust to our Earth and their new family!

I believe that the rise in asthma, allergy, low immunity and behaviour challenges (among other things) can be directly related to the number of chemicals (or level of toxicity) your children are exposed to.

Did you ever stop to think that the chemicals you as a mother consume (food/drink), place on your body (hair shampoo, skin care, toothpaste, nail polish, make-up, clothes detergent…) and use around your home (cleaning products, air fresheners…) – enter your body! Your body treats them as dangerous and will try to protect itself by storing them in fat cells and sending them to your extremities (as far away from vital organs as possible).

This is serious enough – however when you are pregnant or breastfeeding it is critical and outright dangerous! This is because just as quickly, as the chemicals enter your system, they will pollute your growing baby’s environment and body via your placenta or your breast milk!

It surprises and concerns me how many mothers are simply unaware of the potentially carcinogenic or toxic chemicals found in the products they use on a daily basis. Take toothpaste, for instance. If you use a major brand of toothpaste, you may have noticed that the label includes not only the phone number for Poison Control but also cautions against toothpaste use for children under age 6. This warning is even on children’s toothpaste, even though it is covered with cartoon characters that are obviously targeted at children younger than 6!

The solution is simple!

If you can before becoming pregnant and regularly thereafter you should consider detoxing your body. Nutritional cleansing is my preferred method – this floods the body with nutrition (which is good for you and great for your growing baby) which releases the chemicals from your cells. At the same time it is vital that you become aware of what you are putting into and onto your body and what you are putting into your environment. Start eating organic foods and avoid toxic processed foods. Get conscious, start reading labels and get the chemicals out of your body and out of your environment – at least until your children are off the breast milk, but preferably forever!

Wherever you are in the world, you can usually find a local store that sells organic and natural products. Alternatively, and very conveniently for mothers, there are nowadays fabulous product ranges available to everyone 24/7, no matter where they live, online. KEEPING IT REAL: In our busy world it can be difficult to always avoid chemicals. So don’t beat yourself up if you find you have to go there from time to time – just continue to try to minimise chemicals in your life and if necessary detox.
