Nursery Rhymes – are often full of injury, death, cruelty, politics and sex, you can tweak them to be uplifting!
There can be no denying the power of our words to either support or hinder the health and wellbeing of our children! This is especially true with our beautiful, sensitive and intuitive New Frequency Children! Our words and the intent behind them affect the energy of their environment, their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies!
Which brings me to the topic of Nursery Rhymes – which are often full of injury, death, cruelty, politics and sex (yes I mean it!)…..
I had no thoughts or feelings in relations to the content of the Nursery Rhymes I parroted out to my first two children 20 years ago…. HOWEVER as a conscious parent I was really shocked to actually listen to their content flowing from my lips, as I naturally began to sing these same lyrics to my New Frequency Child Sheannah in the months after her birth!
If you want to really look into this topic, simply type “Nursery Rhyme Meanings” into Google, there is some amazing historical information and content there, that is truly eye-opening and behaviour altering.
Anyway – for me there was simply only one thing to do… I set to and made up new lyrics for the Nursery Rhymes I love to sing…. Children love Nursery Rhymes so much, the jingles are great and with new words they sparkle, shine and truly support our babies and toddlers!
Making up new words to Nursery Rhymes is really really fun to do. So why not get creative and ensure that your child is not exposed to tales of accidents, cruelty and worse – here are a few overhauls to get you started:
CONSIDER- ‘Rock-a-bye-baby’ : A Nursery Rhymes that talks of a baby being hung on a branch high in a tree all by itself, at the mercy of the elements, only to have the branch break and the baby fall to the ground, most likely getting severely injured!!! Goodness that is sure to put a baby to sleep!
MY ALTERNATIVE WORDS ARE:
Rock-a-bye-baby in the tree top, when the wind blows the cradle will rock,
The stars will come out and twinkle and shine,
And baby has cuddles all of the time.
CONSIDER-’See-Saw-Marjorie Dore’: A rhyme that talks of masters and their servants who are paid badly because they are too unwell to work any faster?
MY ALTERNATIVE WORDS ARE:
See Saw Marjorie Dore,
<insert your childs name eg ‘Sheannah’> has found a new friend,
She shall get to play all day, because there is no school.
CONSIDER- It’s-Raining-It’s-Pouring: A rhyme that talks of an old man who has a snoring problem, and is unfortunate enough to slip over on his way into bed and die of one must assume concussion or a broken neck!
MY ALTERNATIVE WORDS ARE:
It’s raining its pouring, It’s a beautiful morning
The frogs are crocking,
We’ll play inside, until the sun is warming.
Food for thought isn’t it! I hope this inspires you to update your childs Nursery Rhymes with fun, loving and high frequency words!
